Here are more complex positions than seen in the "Ballet for beginners" page. They go beyond the basic positions of the body, arms and feet:

I.) Croisé Devant

In front. This term may refer to a step, movement or the placing of a limb in front of the body. In reference to a particular step the addition of the word "devant" implies that the working foot is closed in the front.

2.) Quatrieme Devant

3.) Efface Devant

4.) A la Seconde

Arabesques...they are so beautiful. There are many different ways to do an arabesque so here they are: 

The Arabesques
Arabesque: One leg extended behind and the arms held in various harmonious positions creating the longest possible line from the fingertips to the toes.
